TRiO Connects to Students to Professional Tutors 

AdvisorCONNECT with a professional tutor and other students in the TRiO Learning Lab, Student Center Room 2038. Tutors are available to get you started and see you through assignments and projects in the areas of math, science and writing.

Getting help is just a short appointment away as you CONNECT with TRiO advisors. They will help get you on a path to success in your classes, help you _gure out _nancial aid and make sure you will have a successful transfer. They will also help you be accountable to your plan of success by encouraging and counseling you along the way.

TRiO StudentsWho are TRiO Students?

TRiO Students meet one or more of these eligibility requirements

  • Student must be a "First Generation" college student.This means your parent/gaurdian who raised you does NOT have a Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Student must be Pell Grant Eligible.
  • Student has a documented disability on file with Iowa Western.
How do you Apply to be a TRiO Student?
  • Online Application can be accessed through ROC/ College Services and choose TRiO
  • Click on this link TRiO
  • Stop up to the TRiO Learning Lab, Second Floor Student Center, Room 2038 and fill out an application in person

TRiO must meet certain target membership quotas for eligibility classes so even though
you meet the criteria for eligibility TRiO reserves the right to wait list or deny admission to
