About the Program
Learn the latest techniques and best practices to build a solid HTML5/CSS website.
This series will guide you through client-side website development, from the planning
stages and fundamentals, through the process of
creating a finished website. You'll learn how to design a website with proper layout that looks good across all devices, including desktops, tablets and phones. You'll also learn how to research, organize, create, and test website designs using simple principles and a combination of free and commercial software.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Students need to be computer literate and efficient in Internet browsing or search engine use.
Non-Credit to Credit
Take your education to a whole new level and earn college credit toward an Associate's degree in Web Development. Successful completion of this program will earn you 3 hours of college credit for Fundamentals of Web Programming.

Web design is a field with a broad range of skills and career choices. A Web Designer
is someone who
designs, maintains and updates websites. They make sure that a web page is navigable, supports main browsers and complies with the set standards of a website. They maintain understanding of current web techniques or programming practices. This program is well suited for those individuals with professional experience and/or a degree, especially IT related, that may want to upgrade their skills to include Web Design. Entry-level in an office setting median wage is $15-$17/hour.
