About the Program

Careers in information technology are abundant, and you can be on your way to working as a system administration tech in just two semesters with Iowa Western’s System Administration Certificate program.

Students in this program learn from Microsoft and Cisco certified instructors in our state-of-the-art computer labs. Coursework is limited to the most hands-on applied courses you will need to successfully learn how to install, maintain, and administer network operating systems.

Career Information

The Computers: System Administration Certificate program is designed to place students directly into the workforce upon completion of the two-semester certificate.  The certificate program prepares students for entry-level careers in information technology maintaining network operating systems. Graduates of this program who wish to earn an advanced degree and prepare for higher level jobs should continue on to complete the Computers: Network and System Administration program.
